I have never had any serious training, yet crossfit is interesting in a way that regular training is not! Read about my journey here!

Doubleunder goal, completed!!!! - day 4/146

Today at breakfast I tried adding more bacon and less egg to spice things up and it turned out to be a great success. I enjoyed my breakfast a lot more than the previous couple of days, just because it had a looot of bacon! :D

At work I mixed myself another salad with salmon (the lunchlady can make one thing, and just one thing - doing variations is too much for her to handle), and it got my hunger away, but I didnt feel full in any way, but I guess thats how paleo is supposed to feel in the beginning. The day at work went slowly by and I got home to a lovely dinner my girlfriend had made. It was a little of everything healthy one can find, and it was paleo!

I arrived at the box early, once again to practice my doubleunders. They really got me - im really hooked to learning that properly and I actually enjoy doing them. After a little while, i started getting a good rhythm on them and could do sets of 4 and 5 a couple of times, but then - all out of nowhere it just snapped. I did 14 unbroken doubleunders. FOURTEEN! Suddenly i just catched the rhythm and i got them really tight, untill i made a mistake and slowed down. But still, I’m very pleased by that result, and that was even before the workout!

Todays workout on the mainsite is a sprint triathlon, but since we really havent had opportunity to build a pool yet (the box has only been open for 12 days), todays workout was Fran. Yes, the bitch Fran. Unfortunately I didnt get time to be in the regular classes, so I joined another intro class (which will be my last). I will be starting to attend the regular wod classes, no matter which workout it is. Todays workout on the intro course was a little easier than Fran, and it was:

8 min AMRAP

  • 10 sit-ups
  • 10 squat
  • 5 burpee

The box is getting its floorplates tomorrow and untill now, we have been doing the workouts on the concrete floor. The burpees was a killer for my knees, because every single time i got up i, for some reason, had to use my knees alot and concrete+knees is not a good combination. But i managed to finish 5 full rounds, which is pretty acceptable. It is not really great, but my body needs a rest day, and I could feel it right after the workout. After the workout, i pulled out a bar and put some weights on it and wanted to see how hard thrusters are, and my god they are nasty. If I didn’t use my hips to smash the bar up, it was insanely tough on the arms. I’m looking forward to nailing the technique on it tho. I really think it is a great exercise.

I’m looking forward to treating myself with healthy stuff and a healthy variation of lasagne tomorrow evening - not full paleo tho, lasagna needs cheese!

To save some time in the morning, I have spent some time chopping up a lot of vegatables, so I easily can choose what I want without spending a lot of time preparing them, and I really look forward to seeing how good broccoli is for breakfast! I love broccoli raw in salads, but in breakfast friend in bacon fat - that must be amazing!
