I have never had any serious training, yet crossfit is interesting in a way that regular training is not! Read about my journey here!
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
So today was about getting back to the box and i was really excited about todays WOD from crossfit.com. It looked really awesome.
I overslept a little this morning and got up at around 10 am. That was about 1.5 hour before my class, but I thought it would be a great idea to get my breakfast anyway. So i started making a good omelet with bacon, onions and eggs, spicing it up with paprika. It tasted pretty good, but that was something i would later regret.
I arrived at the box early (yet again) to practice on my doubleunders once again. I managed to get a couple of sets of 4s and 5s, but I also tried some of the real nasty speed robes, with the strings being like a couple of millimeters thick and they hurt even more than the regular robe. So I have a couple of marks on my hands and a big one on my back thigh.
So today, we started with a game. We played a game, of which i cannot remember its name, but it was pretty simple. The setup is 3, somewhat equally strong people. One has to touch another person, with the last person doing everything he/she can so the second first wont touch the first. And the first person naturally has to avoid getting touched. If the first person got touched, we had to do 3 burpees. So I started being the bad guy, who had to catch the good guy. I managed to catch him a couple of times - which gave a lot of burpees to all of us. We rotated twice and ended up doing a lot of burpees. At this point, i was really dizzy and couldn’t focus on anything. After that, it was time for todays WOD, which was:
10 rounds - each for time
Seeing the workout as it stands, it seems pretty simple and something that cant be that tough, but it really really was. After three rounds, i felt really sick and I struggled a lot to keep my food inside me. It may have been the reason to me slowing a little down and not giving 100% every round, but perhaps only 90%. If you have been reading my blog, you know that one of my weaknesses is running. Now i can tell you, that I also am really horrible at pushups. My bodyweight is a real issue for my arms and I cant do them good at all.
Coach mentioned that the time of every round should be 1-2 seconds within each other - if not, something went wrong. My times are a little more than that apart, and I cant explain it in any other way than me feeling sick. I am not happy with my performance today, so I’ll have to push myself even harder monday.
My times was: 44.4 | 46.4 | 46.8 | 51.8 | 52.0 | 51.3 | 50.0 | 51.4 | 52.0 | 38.4
I have no idea what happened at the last round. I really dont! I had a very little amount of extra energy and I gave all I had the last run, which was enough to cut 14 seconds of my worst time.
